Calendar integration: common questions

Answers to common questions about calendar feeds, declined gigs, canceled gigs, and private calendar details.

Why do I not see a new gig in my calendar immediately?

Your calendar app decides how often it updates the Gixtra calendar feed. Some apps take a while.

If the gig is shown correctly in Gixtra but not yet in your calendar, your calendar app probably has not refreshed the feed yet.

Why did a canceled gig disappear from my calendar?

That is intentional. Canceled or inactive gigs should not stay in your calendar as zombie gigs.

Why do I not see a gig that I declined?

Declined gigs do not appear in your personal calendar feed. Your calendar should only show gigs that are still relevant to you.

Why can the booker see that I may not be available?

If you connected a private calendar to Gixtra, Gixtra can see that you are marked as busy on that date. Gixtra then shows the booker a warning.

Gixtra does not show the booker what your private calendar entry says.

Does Gixtra see my private appointments?

Gixtra only uses whether you are busy or available. It does not evaluate the content of your appointments and does not show private appointment details to bookers.
